Costume Designer and Maker
About me
Graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a FIRST CLASS HONOURS Degree in Costume Design and Making BA.
Winner of NTU Costume Designer and Maker of the year 2020.
Costume has always been a big part of my life. From the age of 4, I performed ballet and tap on stage and at the age of 18, I reached my goal of completing all the RAD grades. I can remember the feeling of excitement when our show costumes were revealed. As I became older the costumes would enable me to feel and portray emotion and character. I am fascinated by the vast range of costumes. When viewing performances, I find myself analysing shapes and fabrics used, and how the costumes bring the story and characters to life.
I work hard and have shown dedication towards developing my skill base to facilitate my desire to create costumes. I am a multidisciplinary practitioner with a strong understanding of creating 2D and 3D work for a wealth of different performance genres. I am a hands-on learner, who likes experimenting and pushing boundaries with different techniques and fabrics. I approach all tasks with enthusiasm and commitment. My work is always produced to a high level of quality and when faced with a problem I approach it positively and with perseverance.

I am eager to pursue further professional development and expand my skillset whilst exploring the vast and exciting world of costume.
